I made the most minimal base in Mistlands ever.. you do not need a "base" I just used an abandoned tower, put a portal in it and then cultivates enough land behind it to plant maybe 30 puff,..

I mean, as long as your home is in mistlands :) Set up a satellite base, with a portal, and a protected farming area. Pretty easy...

Comfort of your own home means you can plant them with the cultivator rather then having to go out and randomly find them.
