I can't speak for icarus, but I can say valheim is generally just a good game. It doesn't *need* the updates to justify the sale for me. There's more than enough content for me to enjoy for my 20 doll..

Icarus is an Unreal 5 asset flip. It's not worth considering.

Valheim, any time of the day. Icarus fails hard. So hard that I am thinking this is just a frustated developer of Icarus trying to win souls.

I've watched some Icarus (not recently) and it seems too linear and quest oriented to be realistically compared to Valheim. I'm not saying it isn't fun but I wouldn't put them in the same category.

Icarus does not appear to have good gamepad support and the head mouse isn't very good for FPS or 3rd PS yet. Of those two choices, there is no contest for me. The answer is Valheim.

Yeah, in general your best bet is to mark the map yourself immediately after landing.It also helps to drop a portal at your landing site, dying after a boat trip is always a sad event.

A finewood is harder to head shot due to the drift, the huntsman and fang are more accurate. If you are hunting nothing that is dangerous, then the finewood is enough.

I have yet to craft one myself. I am virtually in the Bronze Era. For the most part.FWood is the best bow I have had yet. I've not confronted Elder to this point.
