In regards to karve beam width, I tried the 6m width and the ship sail beam caught into the uprights and twisted the ship.So I will build my longship dock overall 12m wide with 8m for hull clearance. ..

I gave up on docks. As long as the best place to store a boat is in a chest a landing where you can easily drive your ship onto the shore is always going to be better than a dock.

i dont get why people use wood or stone for thier docks. i used mudwalls to prevent haveing to repair them each time i smash the boat into the docks^^ this way i only have to repair the boat afterward..

I think the dock I build was 12 roof pieces wide; which - if I'm not mistaken - makes 24 meters.Keep in mind that the beams of the Karve and Longship can overlap as their masts aren't the same height...

I don't think you have to worry about the beam width. As long as you lower the sail before you go in (recommended in any case), I'm pretty sure it will turn sideways if it hits something.I might be ab..

Hmm, I just cut out the bottom of an ore node and it collapsed as expected. I will have to try a rock/boulder to see if the same thing happens.
