games usually only increase when near full release.cant say if that's the plan with this game, but i seen it happen across several EA titles that where about to finish.

Ballista concerned me too, until i realized you can switch it on/off using doors. But, ofc, they should prevent you from planting them near spawning areas.

Boss kills are just milestones. You can do everything you have been doing up till now + whatever the last boss unlocks for you
