The branch selection in Steam directly says "Public test version of Valheim. Please backup your save data before using."

Maybe copy-paste before trying it, then set up the legacy save as a non-steam game if you're that worried about it.

They still are. Check if you have cloud enabled, then they might not be written to your hd... .

Don't forget to place workbenches or campfires around the inside of your base so nothing spawns inside your area.

I've managed to find multiple vegvisirs of each boss except Yagluth's. I found some Stonehenge sites but none had a vegvisir. I was able to defeat Yag by stumbling upon its altar.
