There's definitely a couple mods for it. I wouldn't mind an option for it in vanilla because I know a lot of people like it. I am not one of those people but I like to have options. :)

First thing discovered was holding down the E key.The recipies do require going out and gathering berries and stuff that just can't be made local. that makes stockpiling the right foods unpredictable...

you could bury a ward beneath your foundations which would make it kinda hard to smash but yes if someone is determined and has enough time they can smash your wards
