Valheim uses the Unity engine so have a look at Unity issues as well.IG have acknowledged optimisation issues, and have done some work in that regards but hey IG is also supposed to rush content, but ..

Enabling V-Sync or limiting your FPS to the refresh rate of your monitor makes a large difference in the stuttering. Give it a whirl.

Sounds like OS problem.For me a mere 980 runs this with stable fps

It does the same with my current 6800XT, did the same with my previous 3070.Valheim has serious optimization problems. Not that IronGate will admit it or do something about it.

BTW.. on boars starving... I read in Valheim notes that boars don't die of starvation and you only feed them to procreate if you have enough room.. size of their pen.

You're right. I forgot about that. This happened to a friend of mine once, and we couldn't figure it out either. It's a mystery.

Plays OK early on in solo/duo games. Viking control is fun, building is fun.
