Food is the only way to increase Health and Stamina. Potions will replenish your health and stamina if you're in a fight. Or need some healing fast.

It will heal your pre existing maximum health, it won't increase (if your maximum health is, let's say, 60 - the mead will not increase it to 110, but will heal you to full from 10 hp).

I consumed one while I was standing still in my own home and it still did not work. My health did not increase at all.

Not positive, but you can probably remove it with a `forcedelete` command. Note, this will remove EVERYTHING but terrain in a certain radius (think it's 5m or 15m by default, but can be user-specified..
