Carts are about the slowest option. Depending on your resources and the terrain you could consider a cart parked on a karve, or loading it all into your pockets and riding a lox.

Most raw materials are useful forever esp assuming you build new homes from time to time. a few are not.. ancient wood, silver come to mind as about useless after a while. every biome has useful consu..

Running them over with the karve is good training for your sailing skills.

Sometimes in life you need to do chores... like farming necks. Making everything easier kind of takes away the challenge and exploration of game IMO.
