Logging out doesn't clear the zone, and if you leave the zone the timer stops - so this could indeed happen every time they log on, if they haven't cleared it yet (by running out the clock in zone).

EpicLoot adds a fair bit to the game and is worth a try.I have been thinking about trying out the alternative Jewelcrafting[valheim.thunderstore.io] some time.

Surprised nobody has mentioned EpicLoot. It can really spice up the game for your next playthrough as well!
