If you install Valheim+ you can edit the death penalties. On my server they are -50% because PVP is always on.

For the OP there are mods, if playing normally... I don't see how people can say it's so easy to die. The only times I die is if I'm careless jumping around while building. No one to blame but myself ..

The main problem I have with the skill drop at the moment is how easy it is to die "without warning". The lack of space in your inventory currently means it's not easy to carry around potion..

I would guess you died there before and collected most of your stuff. The grave stone will stay if you leave anything in it.Then the game glitched out for some reason and you lost your map uncovering ..

Roofing is one of the most challenging parts of building. Anything not square is a fair undertaking, and even rectangles run into support problems very quickly.

No player Sorcery in Valheim unfortunately.There are items that are "magic" like the Ward and late game Arrows but as of right now that is pretty much it.

The best way when having a situation like you described, stranded in the middle of the ocean is by logout and login into the new or another world then stash all your item or whatever you have in your ..

The inverted pieces can look a bit iffy at times, I end up more annoyed by the time gaps you can end up with without adding in beams.

Hard to tell exactly which pieces I'm seeing here with just that one angle...You could do a quick n dirty fix though by just placing some angled wooden beams over top of those clipping bits.

If you have the patience & resources, try to double layer stone walls to counter the dirt clipping through the side of the inner wall, wood walls are way too thin for it not to clip through it. So..

I don't think it's a great melee weapon, for melee weapon I prefer mace to any other melee weapons.
