I can promise you that bonemass with silver tier weapons before was also a pushover. The main nerf is that poison doesn't ignore armor now, so the poison ticks for less especially with a poison resist..

It is random...But if you are like me.... you will only get one or two per crypt until you don't need them anymore and then you will get 10 to 20 per crypt.

Antler pickaxes are the first pickaxe, have little durability (100 ) but you can craft a bunch of them if kill again the first boss , next are bronze and iron tier that have a lot more pick damage and..

I literally quit trying and just entered creative mode. Now I can just enjoy building and not think about what poor forest is going to fall.

Without the grind the game becomes 5 times more short haha

i think if you really want "raid boss" experience you might wanna try mods. i believe "creature level and loot control" makes bosses a 5* monsters. and it can also add few interest..

You need to fine the Surtling Fires in the swamps, then make a portal to then. This will allow you to farm many Cores in a few minutes.

Currently, Mistlands makes for a good outpost spot due to no enemies. In one of my worlds Bonemass was right next to a Mistlands, so I took advantage of the empty land.

You won't need to mine till after the first boss, and by the time you do need to mine your problem will be solved, pretty much guaranteed. Saying much more than that would be a spoiler.

make sure steam and the game are set to run as administratoror it could be overwritten by steam clouddisable steam cloud saves for the game
